Hello blog readers, I wanted to give you an update on what I have been up to. I am currently in Port Hedland, Western Australia to assist the Care for Hedland Environmental Association. I will be leading night walks, giving talks and assisting with the scientific monitoring as well. I have created a new blog to share more of my personal stories with travels, it is travelsandturtles.com. Go and check it out to follow along on this new journey! My position is just for 2 and a half months and then afterwards am looking at doing some more exploring until the loggerheads return.
Thanks for all of the support over the years!

Your heart is pure and genuine, there is no raisin for me not to admire you! I am happy to know that you have volunteered for Care for Hedland Environmental Association and chose to swam with the turtles. Though there have been several laws that protect these animals, we know that therefore still abusers who are choosing to hurt these turtles for their personal gain. It's really a poor attitude and it's really sad. I just hope that there will be more volunteers like you who will protect the animals at all costs!
