I had a week-long visit to Edisto as I entered to run the half-marathon race in Charleston on January 13th. My trip was delayed by a couple days due to the snow and ice that the low country received. When I finally arrived, I was still able to make my first Edisto snow man and got to see snow on the beach, which was quite the odd sight to see! I have had the goal for the past five years to run a half-marathon so I am so excited to have accomplished this goal. I ran the 13.1 miles in 2 hrs 5 minutes and 30 seconds. Perhaps next year I'll accomplish my goal of running a marathon!
I hope everyone is enjoying the off season. I am looking forward to sunny weather soon!

Miss Murtle and I are very excited to announce that we will now have burlap bags for our beach clean-ups! We want to send a massive thank-you to Charleston Coffee Roasters for supplying these used coffee burlap bags. More and more beach clean-ups are moving towards burlap bags to clean the beaches rather than plastic bags - which makes so much sense!
We are so happy about the support we have received and are looking forward to keeping our beach clean in 2018! Perhaps you will come join us for one of our clean-ups! Stay tuned for details. |
